Frequently Asked Questions

What is a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP)? What do you do?

A PMHNP is an advanced practice registered nurse. After completing a Bachelors of Science in Nursing and gaining more nursing experience I attended Gonzaga University and graduated with a masters degree as a psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner. After graduation, I took the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) exam earning me the title of board certified psychiatric nurse practitioner.

In many states, including Oregon, PMHNPs are independent practitioners. This means that a PMHNP, such as myself, can evaluate, diagnose, treat and prescribe psychiatric medication.

The estimated cost per session is $150 - $250. Payments can be accepted via American Express, Cash, Check, Discover, Health Savings Account, Mastercard, Visa

Do you accept insurance?

Yes, please visit my home page for a full list of accepted insurances.

Why should I consider you instead of an in network provider?

There are a few reasons that you may choose to see me instead of an in-network provider. First, I truly care and work with each and every patient to tailor medications specifically to them. Second, my schedule allows me to see people sooner which means feeling better sooner.

What age groups do you offer care for?

My practice focuses on providing mental health care to teens, adults, and elders (65+ years of age). If you are unsure if you or your loved one falls into this category, please send an inquiry via my Contact page.
